@Nitro i don't think that mastering with our budget is possible.
When I was 19 I started to study audio engineering to become a sound engineer. I stoped it just because it was to expansive to study it, but actually I´ve got skills to do a good mastering. I don´t say I´m an expert or very good. I just say that I have some skills and able to increase soundquality a lot. The cool thing is that I´ve got the best masteringsoftware that you can buy (Waves Mercury Bundle), I´ll give you a link for awesome 3 plugins (of more than 200 plugins I have with this highend mastering bundle), so you can study them a bit, download a demo and have info about it (so with this masteringbundle I would work than on all of your tracks for this cd):
Renaissance Channel (48 Bit Soundresolution) http://waves.com/Content.aspx?id=188L3-LL Ultramaximizer (48 Bit Soundresolution) ( http://waves.com/Content.aspx?id=3331L3 Multimaximizer http://waves.com/Content.aspx?id=255There are many plugins in this bundle that work with a much higher internal soundresolution (highest are 72 bit soundresolution EQs & Dynamics)
Actually I never do a mastering for my tracks, because you really need time for this and I just love to produce, release (ore not) and just go on to the next track. I just like to compose and play around with experimental ideas. A real mastering I could do if you all want, but it takes time.
I would do it for free, because I love your music. I really do!
:-)
Well, I use this masteringbundle just for tweaking my stuff, but a real real real reaaaal mastering - needs a real good thinking and working.
You could work for weeks or even months on just one track to do a good mastering, but I really like it more rough and dusty.. good soundquality is to much pop-like for me.. so i try to leave my tracks like they are... just playing around with dynamics and stuff... so...
Actually I could make music much louder than the tracks on
Drukqs. It´s not a question of possibilitys. It´s a question of taste and aesthetics. The Analord-series really doesn´t need a mastering I find. The dusty old sound just is perfect. Listen to the old tunes of Luke Vibert, Drexciya or even Ovuca. They all sound very dusty and "bad", but I love it for that. A mastering is not always a good idea. The music of "AugZF" is awesome and a real mastering would not make it sound better. His music - has - to sound like this. A real clean sound should fit to the genre. For pop like Madonna, okay, lets have a clean bright sound, but AugZF and AFX (Analord) - no thanks...
AugZF is so awesome! :-)
